[The Artist]

Lovely film as a fellow artist I feel this pain. When the employer uses a shotgun to "shoot down" all his pricing offers and the way the artist spends his money on everyday needs... it just hits ya in the feels... many people don't respect the time and effort an artist puts into his work. Artists should be paid accordingly but alas that usually isn't the case. The final insult for the artist looking at his paycheck (thirty days late i might add..) he goes through flashbacks as a child loving to draw, an adolescence studying art, and then an adult as a freelancer artist, not getting paid for what he loves. He kills himself rather than taking the money ( I assume its a metaphor) Sorry for the rambling it was a beautiful short.

yeah its purely a metaphor. it was hard for me to come up with a ending and I was worried the suicide ending was a cheap shot to end it. thanks for the ramble tho aha.

Extremely funny It reminded me of old vaudeville screwball comedy movies from the 1940-50's were the fast talker would talk and confused the other character to listen and agree to his point of view... You did a fantastic job in doing this... i hope the majority of people who see your animation will appreciate your old timey tour de force performance...BRAVO!! :)

Very well made I love the scene at the library when the probe finds the broken glasses a nice little nod to Rod Serling's Twilight Zone "Time Enough at Last " You guys should check it out its a classic episode I'm sure the writer got the inspiration from this

Funny!

Political satire in a flash cartoon i love it !! It pulled me in as the dollar spoke then the AAAHHHHH!!! lol poor old dollar billthats how i feel when i fill my tank full of gas... other wise good and simple animation keep up the good work

Animation very good, story very promising

You know i hate it when you put your heart ,sweat , and tears into anything and it takes a one critic to piss on your creation... animation is very hard to do especially when its done by one person.
the premise of the story is good and bodes well for future installments.
I suggest that viewers wait and see the rest of the series before passing such harsh judgment like that blows! or aliens wont do that ! how would you guys know what the aliens do in the first place? ? its the first part and it needs to hook viewers to generate interest in seeing more. but critics are a dime a dozen and some never have produced any work themselves so they feel good about themselves by bashing someones hard work that they toiled for months on only to be digested and craped out in minutes by grade school viewers who are soooo jaded
